1. Care.
Care about everything you study. You are
empowered by knowledge.
2. Respect.
Respect yourself, respect your peers and
most importantly, respect the Teachers and Mentors who give
their time to help you improve.
Respect is demonstrated by showing good
behavior towards Mentors, and polite consideration and
appreciation to everyone involved with Labs For Kids. Good
behavior is demonstrated when students listen, participate, do
their homework, and care.
3. Learn.
Science is discovery and often associated
with great adventure. Discovering how things work or learning
what they are made of can be accomplished in many different
ways. Science and math can help answer all your questions. The
journey of learning lasts a lifetime and you should enjoy the
adventure.
4. Give.
Share what you learn. Share what you learn
with your friends, family and community.
5. Lead.
You are responsible for the future. What
and how you learn today will determine what our planet is like
50 years from now. By being the best you can be today leads the
world to a better tomorrow.
6. Persevere.
Keep trying. When you get frustrated or are
having trouble understanding or finding resolution, keep
trying. You can do it. Many great science discoveries are made
soon after all seemed lost.
7. Eat.
Food is fuel. Eat the foods that provide
you with optimum nutrition. Research and discover which foods
are best for your body.
8. Drink.
Drink enough H2O, water. Water is more
important to humans than food. Keep properly hydrated. Your
mind and body need water.
9. Laugh.
Laughter reduces stress. Stress can make
you sick.
10. Dream.
Dream of what you want to be. Dream of what
you want to do. Dream of what you want to earn and use science
to help you reach your goals and realize your dreams.
Deliberate violation of these rules will
